1 dead after shooting at Aurora nightclub parking lot

DENVER ( KDVR ) — One person died and another person was injured after a shooting at a nightclub in Aurora early Saturday morning, according to the Aurora Police Department.

Police said officers responded around 1:45 a.m. to a report of a shooting at a nightclub in the 11200 block of East Colfax Avenue.

Officers found a gunshot victim in the parking lot. Lifesaving measures were attempted but they were declared dead on the scene. No further information about the victim was available.

A second victim, a 34-year-old man, took himself to the hospital to be treated for multiple gunshot wounds. He is expected to survive, according to Aurora police.

No arrests have been made and no suspect information was available Sunday morning. The investigation is ongoing.
