Leavenworth Police looking for suspect involved in kidnapping

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Leavenworth Police Department announced in a Facebook post that they need help identifying a suspect involved in a kidnapping and attempted sexual assault.

Leavenworth Police claim that the suspect is described as an older black male with a thin build. They also say that the man is approximately 5’6″ tall and was wearing a light color t-shirt and black pants at the time of the incident.

The incident took place around 10th Avenue and Pottawatomie Streed earlier this week on Wednesday around 7:00 p.m. The suspect left the scene running on foot in a northwest direction.

Police are asking for any assistance in identifying him, as well as obtaining any video that may have caught his path to and from the scene.
