    Independence police cancel Silver alert, 67-year-old woman found safe

    UPDATE: Police have canceled a Silver Advisory for Donna Morgan. According to the Independence Police Department, Morgan was located safe as of 2:30 p.m. on Monday, September 2.

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are searching for a missing 67-year-old woman with dementia who was last seen leaving her home Monday morning in Independence, Missouri.

    According to the Independence Police Department, Donna Delrise Morgan was last seen leaving her home near South Huttig Avenue and South Cedar Avenue just after 7 a.m. Monday.

    Officers said Morgan suffers from the early stages of dementia, has been prescribed several medications and may have suffered a stroke last week.

    Morgan stands at 5 foot 2 inches tall and weighs approximately 190 pounds, the police report said. She was last known to be wearing a white t-shirt, black scrub pants and brown sandals.

    Police said she also has a tattoo on her right shoulder.
