    Docs: Pregnant woman strangled by mom in Muncie

    MUNCIE, Ind. — A Muncie woman was charged after reportedly strangling her pregnant daughter.

    Jenny Kerrigan, 41, was arrested for:

    • Strangulation – Committed Against Pregnant Woman, a Level 6 Felony
    • Domestic Battery – Bodily Injury to Pregnant Female, a Level 5 Felony

    Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of N Waldemere Ave. on Monday at approximately 7:43 p.m. on a report of battery. Upon arrival to the scene, the victim spoke with officers, and she reportedly said that her mom “battered” her while she was picking up her items.

    According to court documents, Kerrigan pushed her pregnant daughter onto her grandmother’s bed while her grandmother was resting in it. The victim claimed that her mom grabbed her shirt, screamed, and pushed her in the stomach.

    Kerrigan was transported to the Delaware County Jail on domestic battery and strangulation. The bail was set at $10,000.
