The outlook for the 2024 Fresno State Bulldogs changed drastically when head coach Jeff Tedford stepped down due to ongoing health issues. In five seasons on the job during two separate stints, Tedford led the Bulldogs to a 45-22 overall record (27-13 in conference play), three Mountain West West division titles, two Mountain West Conference titles, and four bowl games (all wins).
