MSP: Barry County undersheriff cleared in Hastings investigation, won't return as coach
HASTINGS, Mich. — An investigation into parental concerns regarding Barry County Undersheriff and former Hastings Public Schools baseball coach Jason Sixberry has ended. In an update Monday, Michigan State Police confirmed to News Channel 3 that Sixberry did not engage in any criminal behavior with his players, and the case will not be forwarded to the Barry County Prosecutor's Office.

Hastings Finish Sweep of Zap
The Hastings Sodbusters would get the 6-1 win on Wednesday night, finishing off a three game sweep of the Oahe Zap at Hyde Stadium in Pierre. Emiliano Curiel-Montijo would get the lone RBI, which tied the game at 1-1 at the end of the second. But Hastings would score a run in the third, three in the fifth and another run in the seventh for the win. Noah Wiggins would finish with two of the Zap’s six hits while Oahe used three pitchers to get through the game. Jackson Mix would throw five innings giving up five runs, four earned on seven hits with two walks and a strikeout.
Wyoming Legion Baseball ‘A’ State Tournament Scoreboard: July 27-31, 2024
Powell hosts the 2024 Wyoming American Legion Baseball Class ‘A’ State Tournament from July 27-31. It is an eight-team, modified, double-elimination bracket. The Powell Pioneers are the defending Class A State Champions. It was their first championship since 2010. Six of the eight teams were in last year’s field. Also, thanks to a gate sponsor, there is no fee to attend the games.

The 2024 season of Wyoming Legion Baseball is in Week 17. Double-A teams conclude their regular season. There are a pair of conference twin bills and a few other non-conference games ahead of the state tournament that starts next Monday in Casper. Single-A teams are preparing for their state tournament. It begins on Saturday in Powell. The 'A' state tournament schedule will be in a separate scoreboard from WyoPreps.
