Garner (N.C.) South Garner 2026 four-star offensive tackle Ekene Ogboko is like family at Georgia already. It’s because he is. His older brother Nnamdi Ogboko is in his freshman season at Georgia and taking part in his first camp with the Bulldogs.

The younger Ogboko brother is at the beginning of his recruitment. He’s already a highly anticipated prospect. Ogboko is the No. 21 overall prospect in the 2026 On3 Industry Rankings.

He already holds around 30 college offers. Georgia is also among the programs pushing hard for the 6-foot-6, 286-pound tackle.

Ogboko has grown comfortable with Georgia, but he’s trying to do his recruiting process his way.

“It’s (Georgia) my brother’s school and it was the right fit for him, they’re recruiting me too but I don’t know anything yet, I’m still young in the process,” Ogboko said. “I’ve got to see if that’s the right fit for me. Relationship-wise, I know all the coaches just because I’ve been there so many times. I like Georgia.”

Ogboko is also communicating with Georgia heavily. Georgia offensive line coach Stacy Searels is leading the charge for the four-star tackle.

Ogboko has worked with Searels during camps in Athens and he’s also watched him coach the current iteration of Georgia’s offensive line. There are a lot of attributes about Georgia’s offensive line coach that connect with Ogboko.

“They’re communicating here and there, they definitely let me know that I’m a priority, they send me graphics and videos,” Ogboko said. “I like coach Searels. I think he’s a great man. I’ve seen him coach the offensive line and I’ve camped with him before. I like his coaching style.”

For Ogboko, culture is a big piece of the puzzle. Georgia’s culture is one of winning. Ogboko is intrigued by the workman-like environment that he’s experienced in Athens.

“They have a special culture of winning,” Ogboko said. “You go there and you can tell that they want to win. They’re not going there to lose. They’re not just trying to go to a bowl game, they’re trying to win a national championship. If you go there, you’ve got to be ready to work. I like the academics based on what I know from my brother.”

Ogboko is learning a bit more about that from his brother. The older Ogboko brother is taking part in camp. They haven’t been able to talk much as football season is in the infancy stages.

That is a new dynamic but the Ogboko brothers have accepted the new norm as a part of the game.

“Not that much, I’ve talked to him but he’s in camp now and it’s football for football so he’s focused and trying to get ready for these games,” Ogboko said. “We communicate but not a lot… It’s a hectic time for me too.”

What comes next for the elite junior?

Ogboko is going to take things into the summer of next year. That is the plan as of now. He needs to dig into the schools that are going to be his contenders.

“I’m just going to keep grinding during my junior season and hopefully get more offers,” Ogboko said. “Probably after my junior season, I’ll take my official visits and go to games this fall and hopefully find a school that is a fit for me and probably commit in the summer before my senior year.”

Georgia will get a few visits from Ogboko this fall. He’s scheduled to attend Georgia’s opener against Clemson in Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Ogboko will also make his way to Athens this season as well.

“I think it’s going to be a good experience, they both great teams,” Ogboko said. “I’m happy to see them compete. I‘m happy to see my brother go out there and compete. Just going to enjoy the experience with my family and friends.”
