Charlie the giraffe, beloved Riverbanks Zoo star dies
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — After suffering from ongoing health concerns and a declining response to treatment, Charlie the giraffe has passed away earlier this week. Charlie delighted visitors at the giraffe feeding platform with his grace and love for lettuce. Serving as a wonderful ambassador for his species, Charlie’s time at Riverbanks enriched the lives of his keepers and inspired many guests to care about wildlife conservation.

Furry Friends Friday - Jax
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Jax is an 8-month-old Boxer mix up for adoption at Pawmetto Lifeline. Jax and his siblings were an “accidental” litter that were living outside in filthy conditions on a very busy highway. Pawmetto Lifeline rescued them back in March. They were all under-socialized, but their confidence really blossomed in their foster homes! Jax is the last of the litter still waiting on a forever home of his own.
