Nebraska Casinos eying growth as sports betting brings in more than $2.6 million
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A year has passed since the first legal sports bet in Nebraska, and casinos in the state have brought in more than $2.6 million. The first bets were placed last June at the WarHorse Casino in Lincoln, and officials say the industry has expanded as more and more people take interest.

Crowd attends Fourth of July celebration at Stuhr Museum
GRAND ISLAND – Approximately 500 people attended the July 4 celebration at the Stuhr Museum. The celebration was set in the year 1894. Alexandra Bird, assistant director of interpretative resources at the museum, said people attended concerts, parades, horse races, and other events on July 4, “anything that will help celebrate Independence.” Civil War veterans would have been present.
