Caltrans has announced ongoing construction along Interstate 80 (I-80) through the Sierra Corridor, affecting Placer, Nevada, and Sierra counties. Multiple projects, including pavement rehabilitation and emergency repairs, will lead to lane and ramp closures throughout the summer and fall. Motorists are advised to plan for delays of up to two hours.

Eastbound I-80 will see significant work. Key projects include the Monte Vista Pavement Rehabilitation and the Yuba Pass Separation Overhead Bridge.

Westbound I-80 will also experience closures, particularly between Floriston and Soda Springs, during the same period. The Floriston Safety Improvement Project and the Monte Vista Pavement Rehabilitation are among the highlighted projects.

Motorists should stay informed on the latest schedules, as work may be delayed due to weather or other factors. Caltrans urges drivers to remain cautious in work zones to ensure safety for both travelers and construction crews.
