High school boys volleyball in Michigan grew to 69 teams this season, continuing its continuous growth.

Several local teams have joined the jump from four teams in 2018 to 37 in 2022 and now to 69, including West Ottawa, Holland, Zeeland, Holland Christian and Saugatuck.

The sport will become an MHSAA-sanctioned sport next year as the growth continues.

Holland Christian advanced to the Division 2 state semifinals.

Grant VanderZee and Spencer Walraven earned all-state honors in Division 2 for the Maroons. Chase Brink was an honorable mention selection.

Zeeland middle hitter Layne Risdon wa named a Division 1 all-state second-team member. His teammate Max Settlemyer was an honorable mention selection.

    Holland's Jason Koops was a second-team all-state selection in Division 2.

Saugatuck's Calvin Miller was an honorable mention in Division 2.
