Anthony Richardson's rookie campaign in the NFL was largely lost due to a season-ending shoulder injury he suffered in Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans.

Richardson, the No. 4 overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft, entered training camp this week without any limitations following his shoulder surgery in October.

Despite the injury suffered last season, however, Richardson revealed earlier this week that both he and coach Shane Steichen don't plan to limit his mobility this fall.

In an interview with Colts media members on Thursday, Richardson opened up about his running ability and described his legs as one of his "superpowers."

“My legs always been one of my superpowers,” Richardson said. “So trying to take that away from me, I don’t think that’s a good thing for this offense...

"Don’t take my legs away, but being more smart."

Richardson and Colts running back Jonathan Taylor are expected to form one of the NFL's most electric QB-RB duos this coming season.

That's a sentiment Taylor, the 2021 NFL rushing champ, sounds excited about after only seeing the field with Richardson for two total plays last season.

"It’s like, you better worry about this guy because if not, he’s gonna kill you," Taylor said of the Colts' quarterback earlier this week.

Effective on the ground prior to suffering the season-ending shoulder injury, Richardson scored four rushing touchdowns in his four starts in 2023.

The Colts will open the 2024 season in Week 1 against the Houston Texans - the same team that eliminated Indy from postseason contention in Week 18 last year.
