Brittany Mahomes' Gender Reveal Could Have Big Implications for Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes are adding another girl to the family -- and the reveal could bring a bit of good news for the Kansas City Chiefs.

The couple took to Instagram on July 19 to share a video of their children, 3-year-old daughter Sterling and 1-year-old son Bronze, playing a backyard game of tic-tac-toe that revealed the family is having another girl.

While the couple had not yet revealed the due date, the video is potentially a good sign for the Chiefs quarterback. Brittany Mahomes first announced her pregnancy in an Instagram post on July 12, which suggested a wide range for the baby's potential arrival.

If the most recent announcement followed a similar timeline for their second baby, then Brittany and Patrick Mahomes would have been welcoming the child sometime around the start of the NFL playoffs in early 2025.

But the Mahomes gender reveal this week instead suggests a more convenient timeframe for the Chiefs. While a baby's gender can be determined as early as 14 weeks, it is more commonly determined between 18 and 21 weeks. If that were the case, then the newest Mahomes baby would be on its way sometime in late 2024.

The date may not matter too much, as Brittany and Patrick Mahomes have been resilient with past pregnancies. Brittany was in attendance to cheer on her husband against the Los Angeles Rams just one day before the birth of their second child in November 2022. Patrick Mahomes was also able to play in the team's next game, a loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
