There's drama with the Las Vegas Raiders and the regular season hasn't even kicked off yet. Suddenly, those two games against the Kansas City Chiefs look much more interesting.

On Thursday, all hell broke loose on the interweb as a video of a Raiders player surfaced.

Trey Taylor, a very smart, and mature rookie who was drafted out of the Air Force, saw a fan at training camp with a Kermit the Frog muppet puppet. This was not a normal one, though, this one had on a Kansas City Chiefs jersey with Patrick Mahomes' signature hairstyle. Here's the deal, fans can do that, but Taylor went over and put the muppet on his hand and started to mock Mahomes.

It wasn't a smart moment when you think about what the Chiefs and Mahomes have done to the Raiders in the last seven years. Let's start with this: Mahomes is 10-2 against the Raiders all time and has never lost inside Allegiant Stadium.

But, none of that really matters in a rivalry. That's not really the biggest issue with this all. The biggest issue with this is that Taylor was essentially making fun of someone for something they could not help. No one in the world likes being made fun of for things you cannot help or change.

And, that's ultimately why Antonio Pierce was likely upset about it as well. because believe me, he was upset by it.

"We addressed it as a team yesterday, and we nipped it in the bud. It's over with," Pierce said at training camp.

That does not sound like a coach who is too happy about it all. And the trash talk isn't really the issue, because he has had his own trash talk. I think it's the fact that it's essentially bullying or making fun of someone, and that looks bad on Pierce if he doesn't say something.

Luckily, for the sake of the rivalry, Patrick Mahomes addressed it, too.

"It will get handled when it gets handled," he said after practice.

As if the rivalry wasn't already going to be juicy from the Super Bowl and Christmas Day, now there is this.
