OMAHA, Neb. (KCAU) — AAA’s Tow to Go service will be returning to Iowa and Nebraska this upcoming Labor Day weekend.

According to a release from AAA, they will be offering their Tow to Go service beginning Friday at 6 p.m. until Tuesday at 6 a.m.

The Tow to Go service provides drivers who may have had a bit too much to drive a free and confidential ride so that they can get home safely during the holiday weekend.

“By providing this program, AAA leaves drivers with no excuse for driving under the influence of drugs, alcohol or impairing medications,” said Brian Ortner, Public Affairs Specialist, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “However, we remind people to treat Tow to Go as a last resort. Instead, make advanced plans for a safe ride home.”

Tow to Go appointments cannot be scheduled in advance and will only bring you within 10 miles of your location. Tow to Go is intended as a last resort and AAA encourages people to come up with a plan before they drink.

Tow to Go is available in Florida, George, Iowa, Michigan, North Dakota, Nebraska, Tennessee, Wisconsin, the Denver area of Colorado, the Charlotte area of North Carolina, and the Fort Wayne and South Bend area of Indiana.

To request a ride from Tow to Go, call 855-2-TOW-2-GO or 855-286-9246.
