Virginia Man Arrested For Bathroom Assault & Exposure At Key West Resort

Key West, FL - A Virginia man is facing charges after allegedly assaulting and exposing himself to a woman inside the bathroom of a Key West resort on Saturday.

Authorities say 43-year-old Robert Jake Farnsworth, of Arlington, is accused of following a woman into the restaurant bathroom at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, cornering her, and exposing himself.

The victim, a Hollywood resident, reported to police that Farnsworth prevented her from leaving the stall, kissed her without consent, and physically restrained her.

According to Farnsworth's arrest report, the assault was witnessed by the victim's sister, who reported that Farnsworth had been staring at their table prior to the assault.

Farnsworth was arrested and charged with false imprisonment, battery, and indecent exposure.

He was released from custody on Sunday after posting a $30,000 bond.
