Learning about Alayna Davis

King — West Stokes’ rising senior Alayna Davis is looking forward to the new school year and continuing to try new things. She’s looking forward to the opportunities ahead of her and figuring out how to maneuver through those.

She picked up a new sport during her junior year in lacrosse after playing softball for the previous two seasons. Davis fell in love with the sport and it’s now her favorite to play.

Alayna also returned to her roots and picked cheerleading back up. She started her cheering career with the West Stokes Prowlers, continued it with Power Cheer & Tumble All-Stars and then at Chestnut Grove before entering high school. Davis not only tried out and made the cheer squad but was also named a team captain for the fall football season.

Alayna loves her community and how close it is. She has learned to always put God and family first because you never know who will turn their backs on you.

Davis is involved with Club Unify at West Stokes and hopes to attend Western Carolina University in the fall and major in Elementary Education.
