Brooks took visits to Maryland and UNC in June and didn't get to her scheduled visits in the fall before committing. She was supposed to visit the Lady Vols the third weekend of October when Tennessee football hosted Alabama.

Brooks averaged 19.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.2 assists and one rebound last season as a junior at Bishop Ireton. Her scoring and rebounding averages were career highs for Brooks as she led Bishop Ireton to its first state championship.
