Todd Helton has an amazing tribute to the Tennessee Vols in his Baseball Hall of Fame display

Todd Helton is the greatest Tennessee Volunteer of all time, and given what the baseball team is doing right now, that's even higher praise.

As it turns out, the former Colorado Rockies 5-time All-Star's love for his alma mater hasn't faded one bit.

Todd Helton's Hall of Fame display was revealed ahead of his enshrinement into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown on July 21.  Neither a glove nor a bat from Knoxville were included, but rather another piece of equipment that he wore as a Volunteer was added.

Of course, as every Tennessee fan over 35 knows, Helton was a quarterback for the Volunteers from 1992-1994.  He backed up Heath Shuler in 1992 and 1993 before getting a shot at starting after Jerry Colquitt suffered a knee injury in the 1994 season opener.  However, Helton himself suffered an injury against Mississippi State which paved the way for Peyton Manning to take the reins of the program, and the rest is history.

Helton still holds several Tennessee baseball records, including career marks of RBIs (238), walks (147), and saves as well as single-season records for RBI (92 in 1995), earned run average (0.89 in 1994), and saves (12 in 1995).  He was a key cog in the 1995 Tennessee Vols team that won both the SEC regular season and tournament titles and made a run all the way to the school's second-ever College World Series appearance and first in 44 years.

There's no doubt that Todd Helton bleeds orange and is one of the greatest ambassadors for the University of Tennessee that there is.  Now, that love for the Volunteers - and a testament to Helton's superior athleticism - will be on display for fans of all ages to see when they visit the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.
