Local store hold kids hour to inspire creativity

PARSONS, Ks. (KOAM) - A local store is inviting kids to get a little more creative.

Olson’s Ace Hardware in Parsons hosted a kids hour for the public.

Participants were invited to come out and create a Valentine’s Craft project and received help from staff members.

Organizers say it is a great way for kids to learn new skills.

“They need to have that activity to look forward to. Something extra in their life that is not homework or chores or work. It’s fun," says Gina Fought.

Olson’s Ace Hardware hosts a different themed kid hour each month.

The next one is scheduled for March.

Organizers say kids will have the opportunity to learn more about gardening and plants.
