Joplin High School students donate to local non-profit

JOPLIN, Mo. (KOAM) --The Joplin High School Philanthropic Society presented an almost $12,000 check to the organization "One Joplin."

They chose that organization out of nine applicants because they wanted to support youth health and wellness.

To raise funds for the donation, the student-led club worked on several fundraising projects during the year.

The money will help restock the JHS Food Pantry as well as create an Angel Fund.

That fund will help students with food insecurity access food from the cafeteria.
