Sarcoxie's Alyssa Willis signs with Missouri Valley

SARCOXIE, Mo. -- Sarcoxie High School senior Alyssa Willis signs a letter of intent to join the archery program at Missouri Valley College on Wednesday afternoon.

In her high school archery career, Willis has won championships at the state, national, and world levels.

She joins a program at Missouri Valley College that is in its inaugural season.

The Sarcoxie High School senior says having her archery skills help pay for her college education is extremely gratifying.

"It's felt good because over the years I haven't noticed much of a payoff -- other than winning, obviously," Willis says. "In the grand scheme of things, this is going to make so much more of a difference than anything I've ever won.
