Ohio State Lima welcomes students back with outdoor picnic
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Food and enjoying the outdoors are two things Ohio State Lima students got to enjoy Thursday afternoon. The university welcomed students back to campus with a picnic and gorgeous weather to go with it. Students going to and from classes could stop by and get hot dogs, cookies, fresh apples, and a drink, as well as socialize with their fellow Buckeye classmates. Some students are on campus for the first time and are new to the college experience, so the picnic also serves as an easy way to meet new people and get a warm welcome to the college lifestyle.

Kenton welcomed Eastwood for exciting home opener
Kenton high school football opened the season hosting Eastwood. The Wildcats opened the scoring on a 72 yard TD drive then Eastwood answered with 31 straight points. Kenton would find the endzone once more to head to halftime down 14-31. The Wildcats then opened up the scoring in the 2nd half with a 14 point run of their own to chop the lead down to just three points heading to the final frame. The Wildcats scored again with six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter to take their second lead of the game but Eastwood wouldn’t be denied scoring a touchdown, with nine seconds remaining, on a 91 yard drive.
