Flying Legends of Victory Tour lands at the Allen County Regional Airport
ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - A one-of-a-kind collection of the rarest historic military planes in the world is at the Allen County Regional Airport. The Commemorative Air Force's Flying Legends of Victory Tour has made its way to the Lima area to showcase their restored World War II aircraft. Individuals there can climb into the B-17 Flying Fortress "Sentimental Journey" and B-25 Mitchell "Maid in the Shade" bombers. This once-in-a-lifetime experience allows people to not only tour the planes but an opportunity to go for a ride as well.
Records broken at junior fair livestock auction
Aug. 23—LIMA — There were three records broken this year during the second half of the Allen County Fair's 2024 junior fair livestock auction, including in the lamb and dairy beef sections. New shelter house placed in Cridersville's Legacy Park
CRIDERSVILLE, OH (WLIO) - It was a big day in Cridersville as phase two of the Legacy Park project got its focal point. It was three-parts structure and two-parts measuring to make one new shelter house at Legacy Park in the village of Cridersville. The 720-square-foot building will now provide the park with restrooms and a multi-use space for community events. The prefab concrete structure from Norwalk Concrete Industries was lifted by a crane and placed into position. The shelter house was made possible by a $300,000 grant from the state of Ohio's biennial capital budget in 2022.
