LANSING — Three people were shot in two separate incidents Sunday in a violent weekend in the city, Lansing police said Monday morning.

None of the three people wounded, all male, suffered life-threatening injuries. Police said they had a suspect in one incident, but the person had not yet been arrested.

In the first incident, police were dispatched to the 200 block of Huron Street about 8:10 p.m. Sunday for a reported shooting. Once they arrived, police found an 18-year-old with a gunshot wound to his shin.

Shortly afterward, a 28-year-old man arrived at a local hospital with wounds to his elbow and abdomen, police said.

Both men were listed in stable condition. Police said no arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing.

In the second shooting, police were dispatched to the 4200 block of West Jolly Road about 10:38 p.m.

A 34-year-old man was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Gulkis said "the accused related to this incident are not currently in custody."

The incidents were the second and third shootings over the weekend in which people were wounded. A man was shot early Saturday just east of downtown near Adado Riverfront Park, Lansing police said Saturday afternoon.

The 34-year-old man, who was not identified, was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, LPD Sgt. Gino Tocco said. On Monday, police did not have an update on the man's condition.

Police said no arrests have been made. Tocco said the shooting was not random; the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about any of the shootings is asked to call 517-483-4600.
