WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - A Westchester County man pleaded not guilty Tuesday to a brutal attack that killed a social worker. Maria Coto was hospitalized for 36 days after being attacked. Haseem Jenkins, 31, is accused of fatally punching and kicking Coto. Peekskill Police believe Jenkins attacked Coto unprovoked after she mistakenly knocked on his door. Detectives investigating robbery with firearm in Pelham
Around 11:30 Saturday night, Niagara Regional Police attended the Circle K, located at 1022 Pelham Street, in Pelham for a Robbery. Investigation revealed an unknown male brandished a firearm and demanded an undisclosed amount of money from an employee. The K9 Unit with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended however had negative results in locating the suspect. The employee did not sustain any physical injuries. The First Squad reports the arrest of three individuals for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance that occurred on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at 1:55 a.m. in Roosevelt. According to Detectives, Officers initiated a lawful Vehicle Traffic stop in the vicinity of Nassau Road and E. Greenwich Avenue for a grey Dodge Durango that was speeding. Subsequent to a further investigation, an illegal loaded firearm, metal knuckles, and a white powdery substance believed to be crack cocaine were recovered. All three occupants of the vehicle were arrested without incident, defendants: Edward Tyler Johnson, 30, of 10 Sutton Place in Deer Park, Paul Scott, 34, of 13 Waterford Drive in Wyandanch, and Andre Yates, 36, of 16 Park Center Drive in Deer Park.

Gun-Packing Trio Accused of Punching, Choking, and Throwing Bowling Balls at Baldwin Security Guard
The First Squad reports the arrest of three individuals for a Robbery that occurred on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 1:23 a.m. in Baldwin. According to Detectives, Officers responded to a call at Ultra Lanes, located at 2407 Grand Avenue, for an Assault. Upon arrival, Officers discovered that a security guard of the establishment was the victim of an assault. Further investigation revealed that the defendants: Davian Campbell, 26, of 3615 Bertha Drive, Baldwin, Danny Daniels, 26, 1425 E. 94th Street, Brooklyn and Ariel Sariah Gangadeen, 25, of 668 E 85th Street, Brooklyn were being disruptive and refused to leave, they began punching, kicking, choking, and throwing bowling balls at the victim. They also stole the victim’s phone and fled the scene in a white BMW.
