Driving back from Vermont a week ago for a short trip, we stopped on the New York State Thruway to fill up and grab a coffee. As per usual on a Summer Sunday, the highway was crowded with traffic, mostly families trying to get back to Jersey to prepare for the coming work week. 22 Year Old Arrested for Reckless Driving, Assault on Theo Fremd Avenue
On Friday, a 22 year old man was arrested on Theodore Fremd Avenue in Rye for reckless driving and assault, among other changes. After failure to comply with a traffic stop, Wilver Hiraldo of Norwalk, Connecticut was observed traveling northbound on Theodore Fremd Avenue on an unregistered moped. When officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, Hiraldo accelerated around stopped traffic and drove into the oncoming lane of traffic in an attempt to elude officers.
