Man sentenced on gun charge from Youngstown arrest
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A man arrested last September by city police on a gun charge was sentenced Wednesday in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court. Eugene Thompkins, 33, received the sentence from Judge Anthony D’Apolito following guilty pleas Feb. 29 to charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, a third-degree felony, and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony.
