LUMBERTON, N.C. (WBTW) — A man brought a gun into a women’s health clinic in Lumberton Tuesday and shot and killed himself after allegedly firing at police officers, authorities said.

Officers responded at about 3:30 p.m. to the Southeastern Health Women’s Clinic for a man, 35-year-old Brandon Graham, who allegedly had a gun in the lobby. He ran away when officers and security staff arrived.

As officers were chasing him, he shot at the officers at least once, police said. They then lost sight of him as he ran toward the back of the hospital. As they continued looking for Graham, they found him dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the parking lot at 2828 N. Rowland Ave.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Lumberton police Sgt. Blake Harrell at 910-671-3845.
