    Manhattan man dies in Washington Co. crash

    WASHINGTON COUNTY ( KSNT ) – A 46-year-old man from Manhattan died in a two-vehicle crash in Washington County on Tuesday.

    At 12:30 p.m., the 46-year-old was driving a 2020 Chevy Silverado east on U36 and attempting to pass a vehicle. The 46-year-old hit a 2023 Peterbilt semi-truck that was traveling west on U36, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) crash log.

    The 46-year-old was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. He wasn’t wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to the KHP.

    The 46-year-old’s next of kin was notified.
