Stephens, II announced that Anthony Hagans, 35, of Irvington, and Clarence Johnson, 38, of East Orange, were both sentenced to 30 years in prison for killing Shawn Watford back in April 2020. The project would include dredging the main lake, cutting back vegetation and turning 8 acres into active recreation space at the county-owned recreation area. This includes an ice skating rink, a carousel and a children’s train ride, along with two new boat ramps, paved parking for 140 vehicles, paved walking paths, three pedestrian bridges, a bathroom and maintenance building, a storage building for kayaks and canoes, and a plaza.

Three men were sentenced to state prison this week in the fatal shooting of a man outside of his Essex County apartment in 2020. N.J. man admits shooting at federal agent during illegal gun sale
A Trenton man pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court to assault and robbery for shooting at an undercover federal agent during an illegal firearms sale, authorities said. Jabree Johnson, 29, admitted in U.S. District Court in Trenton to assault on a federal officer with a deadly weapon, robbery, and carrying a firearm during a violent crime in which the gun was discharged, according to U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger.
