Lyons fire department August equipment report and news
A fire department equipment tender, also known as a water tender or water tanker, is a specialized vehicle that transports water to fires in areas without access to a water source. They are often used in rural areas or when hydrants are scarce or nonexistent. Tenders can carry up to 5,000 gallons of water and can draft water from lakes, streams, or hydrants. They are essential tools for firefighters and can be used in other emergency operations that require large amounts of water to be distributed over a wide area.
