Mayor summarizes 5-acre rule amendment, 8/5/24
This post is to clarify the action that the Board took last night (8/5/24) with respect to the 5-acre rule amendment. We did three things:. ==We passed at second reading the amendment to the 5-acre rule that means that any parcel under 5 acres that has been subdivided from a parcel over 5 acres at any time since 2000 will go to a vote of the town if the owners of the parcel wish to annex. The rest of the 5-acre rule remains exactly the same.

LEAF has a new name, vision and mission
LEAF was born out of a disaster, the 2013 flood. Before the flood, helping organizations and people were working together and separately to strengthen Lyons. In 2014, many of them banded together to create a single organization to support Lyons through the crisis of the flood and beyond. That’s how LEAF came to be. For the first years, LEAF functioned primarily as a human services safety net, providing short-term help for people who needed it.
Lyons fire department August equipment report and news
A fire department equipment tender, also known as a water tender or water tanker, is a specialized vehicle that transports water to fires in areas without access to a water source. They are often used in rural areas or when hydrants are scarce or nonexistent. Tenders can carry up to 5,000 gallons of water and can draft water from lakes, streams, or hydrants. Salud Foundation now provides free dental care
Estes Park Salud Foundation now provides free dental care for youth up to 20 years of age. Free dental care is an evolution of the Foundation’s efforts to improve access to dental care. First, they provided vouchers to help offset the cost of families getting dental care from local clinics. Then, they brought a dentist in-house to Salud Family Health Clinic.
