Fun weekend events happening in Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — It’s finally Friday! While many of you are celebrating a long weekend thanks to the Fourth of July holiday, there are still so many things to get out and do.

If you missed out on seeing some fireworks, you are in luck because you have another chance to see a show. Friday night, you can enjoy Graceland’s All-American Party and Fireworks Extravaganza . The party starts at 7 p.m. with the fireworks and Elvis music happening as soon as the sun goes down. It is free to attend.

If you are over the heat and ready to start thinking about colder weather and Christmas, head over to First Friday on Broad Friday night. The theme is Christmas in July . This is from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. There will be specialty-themed products, treats, and discounts

Saturday is Super Saturday at the Brooks Museum of Art where they will be looking at food as art. You will be able to explore tiny sculptures of your favorite foods from 10 a.m. until noon. This is free with registration.

If you want some relief from the heat on Saturday, Overton Park has you covered. From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., there will be waterslides on the greensward. It is free and no registration is required.

Sunday, 7 Brew celebrates its first official 7 Brew Day on 7/7. The coffee shop will be donating $25,000 to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. From 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., you will be able to buy one drink and get one free.
