    Metairie man indicted on sex crime charges involving children

    METAIRIE, La. ( WGNO ) — A Metairie man was indicted on charges of distributing and receiving child sexual abuse material on Friday, June 21.

    According to U.S. Attorney Duane A. Evans, Kevin Lillis, 50, was charged for the distribution of child sexual abuse material, receiving child sexual abuse material and receiving obscene visual representations of the sexual abuse of children.

    According to Evans, Lillis is accused of possessing material involving “sexually explicit conduct” of children as young as one-week old.

    If found guilty of these charges, Lillis could serve a minimum of five years in prison and potentially a maximum sentence of 20 years for each count, according to court documents. Lillis could also face five years and “up to a lifetime, and supervised release and an approximate $250,000 fine for each count.”

    Additionally, Lillis will have to register as a sex offender.
