    Crash causes back up on I-80 near Danville

    Milton, Pa. — A crash near Danville today has caused significant traffic along interstate 80.

    The crash occurred near mile marked 221 on I-80 West at approximately 2:30 p.m. A lane restriction is in place on Interstate 80 in both directions between mile marker 220 and 221, approximately four miles west of the Route 54 interchange (Danville Exit), in Liberty Township, Montour County, due to a vehicle crash.

    At 3:30 p.m., Interstate 80 westbound traffic was backed up approximately seven miles from the crash area, according to PennDOT. Motorists should be alert, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution.

    According to a release from Pennsylvania State Police, the crash is near a construction zone and has caused a significant back up along the interstate. Travelers are advised to seek a different route.

    The crash is under investigation, according to PSP. Additional information on the crash will be added as it's made available
