Car hits, kills man near Highway 90, Mobile police say

MOBILE, Ala. ( WKRG ) — A man was killed after he was hit by a car early Friday morning, according to the Mobile Police Department.

An MPD news release said officers were called to the area of westbound Highway 90 around 5:30 a.m. on July 19 after they received a report of a pedestrian being hit by a car.

Officers arrived at the scene between East Rite Road and the Highway 90 East Service Road, and found a man dead in the middle of the road.

The victim’s identity has not been released.

Mobile Police said this is an active investigation.
