Mystic Mermaids in Denver: A Night to Remember
2023-11-03
User-posted content
The mythical mermaids are back swimming in Downtown Denver after a hiatus on dryland. The Downtown Denver Aquarium is a place to watch the “Mystic Mermaids” swimming with barracudas, sharks, sting rays, eels, and sea turtles just to name a few.
Reservations at the Aquarium Restaurant are highly recommended. We recommend that you time your seating about a half-hour before the scheduled show. So, you are at your table by the time the show starts. Click here to make reservations on OpenTable.
We have gone three times to the Aquarium Restaurant shows. All three times were amazing. One was a buffet brunch with a large crowd consisting of families. We prefer the dinner show. Although the food on the buffet was good. I prefer their great menu for dinner. Click to see menu.
After dinner you can have a night cap at the “The Dive Lounge.” The lounge bar is located next to the restaurant. The restaurant and lounge are both upscale. The bar offers a “Happy Hour” every Monday through Friday. Click here to see “Happy Hour” menu.
We usually make an evening of it. We will buy a timed entry into the aquarium about an hour and half before our evening reservations. We make reservations half-hour before the mermaid show. If we are early for our reservations, we have a cocktail in the bar. Then get dinner and cocktails ordered before the show starts. Click here to see the restaurant and bar.
The “Under the Sea Exhibit Shows” happens twice a month. They have four remaining shows for 2023.
November 10 & 24; 6:30 p.m.
December 8 & 22; 6:30 p.m.
With a Stingray Reef Meet & Greets at 5:15-5:45 p.m. and 7:00-7:45 p.m.
