Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Cameron McAdoo recently announced on Instagram that he will return to racing for next weekend’s Rd 1 of the SuperMotocross World Championship Playoffs.

Cameron, the 250SX East Championship leader at that time, damaged his shoulder from tangling with another rider during qualifying, then again in the Main Event with his teammate in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross round from Nashville. This resulted in him breaking his scapula and a partial tear in his shoulder. No surgery was required, but that ended his Supercross season.

He indeed planned on returning for the entire AMA Pro Motocross Championship. Then, he was dealt with another setback on the same shoulder he injured in Nashville a couple of weeks before the season opener and ultimately did not race in the series.

McAdoo has been back on the bike since earlier this month and says, “I can’t wait to finish the year with some gate drops!” He currently sits 23rd in combined 250SMX points leading into Rd 1 of the Playoffs in Charlotte and will have to compete in the LCQs at each of the three Playoff rounds. We are glad to see that McAdoo will return to the racing action!
