    Harlem School District’s K9 therapy dog dies unexpectedly

    LOVES PARK, Ill. (WTVO) — A Loves Park Police therapy dog, who had recently begun serving the Harlem School District, passed away unexpectedly yesterday.

    According to police, K9 Therapy Dog Conway died after an emergency.

    “Conway had just begun his journey of providing valuable support and therapy services to students and staff within the Harlem School District. His gentle presence made a profound impact on everyone he encountered, and he quickly became a beloved member of the community,” officials said in a news release.

    “We ask that you keep our officers, especially Conway’s handler, Officer Johnson, and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Conway’s passing is a sudden and tragic loss, and his kindness and dedication will be greatly missed,” the statement continued.
