Former NFL Star Details Life-Threatening Accident

Former NFL star Randall Cobb's family is counting their blessings after escaping a house fire in Nashville.

In an Instagram story , Cobb's wife, Aiyda, said a Tesla charger caught on fire in the garage of their home and quickly spread. The family was able to make it out with the clothes on their back and no shoes.

Randall Cobb posted a message on his Instagram with more details of the accident. After getting his family out of the house, he said he ran back in to get their dog, Louie.

It was a dangerous situation, and Cobb even admitted to being worried about the safety of the firefighters who showed up at his house.

"We can't thank Chief Caruthers, Captain Irvin and the Nashville Fire Department enough for their swift action," Cobb posted on social media, along with scary images of the smoldering ashes left behind in his garage.

He added, "Unfortunately we don't know how much, if anything, will be salvageable, but this has been a reminder that nothing is more important than the health of our family."

Cobb has three children: Caspian, Cade, and Chance.

The 33-year-old former Pro Bowler is currently a free agent after playing for the New York Jets last season. He spent 10 seasons playing with Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay, and there was hope those two could spark that chemistry together in New York.

However, Rodgers went down with a season-ending injury in Week 1, and the reunion on the field fell apart before it truly even started. Cobb appeared in 11 games and caught five receptions for 39 yards and one touchdown.
