World Class fingerstyle guitarist in Geneseo

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Matt Thomas performed at the Riviera with special guest Mark Grover.

While it is very similar to traditional guitar playing using the finger or fingernail to pluck the strings is an essential part of the distinctive sound.

Speaking about what drove his passion, Matt Thomas said, “There’s all kinds of different voices and the world and I’ve always been drawn to the voice of this instrument. It has so many different things that it can say. You just have to listen to it. As a matter of fact, it’s taught me more lessons in life than anything. I’m excited about a new experience in life and bringing a new experience to some people.”

Thomas says that’s what drove his passion.
