ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Two teenagers were arrested, one of whom is injured, after a shooting involving two stolen vehicles in Rochester.

The Rochester Police Department said a 46-year-old man went up to a group of teens in a Kia and Hyundai in the parking lot of Norton Village Apartments. The teenagers and the two cars left and circled back to drive at the man.

At this point, officers said the man pulled out his registered handgun and fired several rounds. The cars drove away from the scene. The man did not report any injuries and was not charged.

Officers were then called to South Union Street and found a 17-year-old boy who was shot. They later found a stolen Kia, a stolen Hyundai, and a 15-year-old boy.

Officers determined the 17-year-old was shot at Norton Village Apartments. He was treated for serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.

The 15-year-old boy was arrested and charged with third-degree grand larceny, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was taken to the Monroe County Children’s Center.

RPD is still investigating the incident and is asking anyone with information to call 911.
