U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Roger Fortson, 23, was in his off-base apartment in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, when he was shot and killed by a sheriff’s office deputy on May 3. The incident was captured on police body camera footage.The deputy in the fatal incident was responding to a call of a disturbance in the complex but had knocked on the wrong door, Fortson’s lawyer said. Released body camera footage appears to show the airman had a gun in his hand.
