Golf is hard. It is a really, really hard sport. Even the pros have weekends where they simply don't have their best game and have to grind it out.

That is what makes Scottie Scheffler's historic run of dominance this season all the more impressive. His ability to win, no matter what is going on with his game, has been incredible. It can also be incredibly tough for other pros to try and battle against.

Fellow PGA member and major winner Matt Fitzpatrick gave fans a real look at what it feels like to play against Scheffler.

"We do we even bother," Fitzpatrick asked as he contemplated how they could even beat Scheffler.

It's fair to assume he meant to ask, 'Why do we even bother?' A fair question for what it's worth.

Scheffler's win at the Travelers Championship over Tom Kim in a playoff has only extended his dominance to a whole new level. The win is Scheffler's sixth on the season.

Despite it being just June, Scheffler has already broken the PGA Tour single-season record in prize money with $27.696 million already pocketed.

With the signature events wrapped up, all eyes now turn to two more events. First up, is The Open at Royal Troon, the fourth and final major of the year, getting underway on July 18.

Following that, the golf world turns its focus to the Olympics where the U.S. is sending a loaded group of talent.
