According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, nine-time NBA All-Star Paul George is declining his player option for next season and intends to become a free agent.

George's decision, which comes just a day before NBA teams are permitted to start speaking with free agents, is sparking conversations about the best potential landing spots for the 14-year NBA veteran.

While likely to draw interest from much of the league, the Clippers forward already seems to have a shortlist of teams he wants to meet with at the start of free agency.

Per The Athletic's Shams Charania, George plans to speak with three teams after free agency officially opens on Sunday night - the Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Orlando Magic.

One of the league's premier two-way forwards since entering the league in 2010, George has racked up six All-NBA nominations and four All-Defensive Team nods throughout his NBA career.

In 2023-24, he averaged 22.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game for L.A. while helping the team earn the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference.

The Clippers were ultimately eliminated in the first round of the postseason by the Dallas Mavericks.
