Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston shared an interesting postgame interaction after the Indiana Fever's 88-82 victory over the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday. Clark nearly recorded a triple-double, posting 15 points, 12 assists, and nine rebounds. Boston shared her honest reaction to the potential WNBA history from Clark after the game.

"You had a triple-double, damn near. Triple-double watch. Insanity" said Boston via Cait22fever on X.

Clark would have been the first rookie in WNBA history to record a triple-double, but the first-year star was one rebound shy of that feat.

Despite falling short of league history, the Fever secured their first win over a team above .500 this season,

Clark responded to Boston while walking back to the locker room, saying, "Bruh, I needed a rebound." The rookie out of Iowa was all smiles after the victory, but she acknowledged just how close she was to stamping her name in the record books.

Boston also had a solid performance, notching 17 points and eight rebounds, while having the tall task of defending 6'9" center Brittney Griner.

Clark and Boston are slowly coming together as a talented duo. They each have a unique skill set that's allowed them to succeed, especially on the offensive end, but the chemistry between the two has been night and day since the start of the season.

The rookie has been finding Boston inside the painted area for easy buckets during the last few games. With that, Boston has seen her season averages rise. She finished the win over the Mercury with 17 points and eight rebounds, averaging 12.9 points and 8.3 rebounds through the Fever's 8-12 record.
