ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler polled a litany of NFL personnel from executives to coaches and scouts to find out who they view as the NFL’s top 10 quarterbacks . The results showed that Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen ranked as the third-best quarterback in football.

“Allen's blend of brilliance and inconsistency has left voters with mixed feelings,” Fowler wrote. “He received the only first-place vote that didn't go to Mahomes -- yet was outside of the top five for several voters. He is Mahomes' neighbor in style of play but lives on a different street of accomplishment. He's been in the top five for four consecutive seasons but hasn't cracked the top two. Most agree Allen should have played in at least one AFC title game by now.”

While the consensus from those who voted was that Allen is the third-best quarterback in football, his highest ranking on the list was as the No. 1 quarterback by at least one member of the panel. The lowest he was ranked was No. 6.

Allen is the only player in NFL history to have 40 touchdowns in four consecutive seasons, and his 173 touchdowns are the most in the league since 2020.
