WNBA Legend Cheryl Miller Gets Real About Caitlin Clark vs. Angel Reese Rivalry

On Saturday night, women's basketball legend Cheryl Miller will lead the 2024 WNBA All-Star Team into a highly-anticipated matchup against Team USA as the All-Star Team's head coach.

Miller took the podium for a press conference at All-Star practice on Friday. And of course, she was quickly asked about the opportunity to coach rising rookie superstars Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese.

Miller opened up with her honest thoughts on the Clark-Reese rivalry and what it's accomplished for the game of women's basketball.

"I've been able to step back and watch from afar. I love and appreciate their rivalry. I love what they've done for the women's game — from the collegiate level to now," Miller said. "It's working. It was only a matter of time.

"[There's] great narratives. Great storylines. And now, the bottom line comes down to one thing: It's about basketball. It's about winning. Both these young ladies and their teams, people don't want to face them down the stretch. Because now it's starting to click. It's clicking in Chicago and it's starting to click in Indiana."

With Miller on the sideline, Clark, Reese and the rest of the 2024 WNBA All-Star Team will tipoff against Team USA at 8:30 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
