    Severe thunderstorm watch in Northern Kentucky, southeastern Indiana canceled

    Update, 7:20 p.m.: The National Weather Service in Wilmington has canceled the severe thunderstorm watch that was issued in several Northern Kentucky and southeast Indiana counties early Wednesday afternoon.

    Previous coverage: Portions of Northern Kentucky and southeastern Indiana are under a severe thunderstorm watch until 8 p.m. Wednesday.

    The National Weather Service at Wilmington issued the watch around 2 p.m. Close to Cincinnati, it affects Campbell, Kenton, Boone, Grant and Pendleton counties in Kentucky, as well as Dearborn County in Indiana.

    Areas in Ohio are not under the watch.

    Possible hazards include up to quarter-size hail , scattered wind gusts up to 70 mph, and frequent lightning.
